Time flies when you are having fun. 2009 has passed and what a year that was. We have been playing at some great venues and festivals throughout the Netherlands and met a lot of new bands and friends. We'd like to thank them all for making this a wonderful year. Our special thanks go to Jorg, Ron and Marieke for their crew support.

We finished 2009 at JJMusicHouse, where we were part of the Packstock afterparty line-up. A great night full of diversity and energy, we met some great new bands and had a blast on stage. What a way to end this wonderful year.

Already 2 weeks into the new year, wish everyone more musical blasts throughout 2010!!

It's been a while since we updated our site, but here is the latest. We'll be playing Jerafest this weekend at the Rijnhal in Arnhem.

As Wouter became a father recently, he has decided to take some time off with his family.
So for our gig in Arnhem Johan van Heusden from Annatar will step in as a session guitarist. It is not the first time we work with Johan,
as he also replaced Mcihiel on our gig on Spuiplein in the Hague last spring. We are looking forward to work with him again, and we would like to wish Wouter
the best of luck and some great time with his family.

And there is more. We remixed a few of our songs and put them on our new sampler. The sampler will be relaesed at Jerafest. So come watch the show and get your copy of the sampler .

We'll be playing on saturday on stage 1 at 12am and 4.45pm and on sunday we'll be opening for Omnia at 11am!

It was an edgy but intimate evening of metal at Bazart, where we played together with Magion and Autumn at the Metal Mayhem Festival. In spite of some technical problems, we had a great time. (Did you? Post your reactions on our Myspace or Hyves site!) Pictures will be posted as soon as possible.

In all the excitement we forgot to thank Ron and Jorg for their offstage help and support. Thank you so much guys!

The summer has one more gig in store for us. On 19 September we will be playing at the IJsselpop festival in IJsselstein. Here the best and most interesting new bands from Utrecht and around will be playing at this free after summer outdoor party. Ametheon will be playing at about 16:00. Come rock the meadow!

It was a warm and moist evening last Friday at Highlands, IJsselstein. Here we played together with Landmark105 and The Q! in the second of 2 final rounds in the IJsselpop band competition. We each had 45 minutes to show our best. The audience was treated to three great bands with enthusiastic leading ladies. From singer-songwriter to metal, it was a night full of variety and quality.

The jury chose us as the night's winner. Next to eternal honor, we won ourselves a place in this year's line-up for the IJsselpop festival on September 19th. Second place was for The Q! who will also be playing at the IJsselpop festival, together with the winners of the first finals.

Friday the 26th of June it's on. In the last finale four bands will battle for the two remaining and highly desired spots on the IJsselpop festival stage coming September.

We are one of the contenders. After playing the Koetstock Festival in Kockengen and the Gothic and Fantasy Fair at the Rijnhal in Arnhem, Ametheon is back at the Highlands, ready to bang their heads, shake their hairs and bring you an energetic show.

For those who come and cheer for Ametheon there is a special surprise waiting. The first three (future) fans who will announce themselves to Pim (the bass player) on the night of the contest will receive a free (girlie) t-shirt. Of course on the condition that the shirt is worn and dripping with sweat afterwards!!

Friday june 12th, we'll be playing on Koetstock in the lovely town of Kockengen. For all of you who can not come to the festival there is a possibility to hear us live. Radio Polderland will give a live broadcast of the festival from 19:00 untill 01:30. We'll be playing at 21:00 so see you there or tune in!!

Wow, what a great weekend it was. We had a lot of fun at the GFF in Arnhem. We'd like to thank all the fans who supported us. We've got such a positive fibe out of it. We put the first pics in our gallery and there are more pics coming up.

This weekend, saturday june 6th and june 7th, we'll be playing at the Gothic & Fantasy fair in the Rijnhal in Arnhem. We'll be playing 4 times in total!! Each day we'll be playing at 12.00 and 15.00. We'll be sharing the stage with a fun folkband from Eindhoven the Folcaholics and the beautiful dancers of TribAlways. Come see us at one of our four shows.

Saturday may 16th, Ametheon will play the Haagsch Kelt & Gothic Festijn on Spuiplein in the Hague. We will perform twice on this event at 12.00 and 15.30.

Last night we played an energetic show at Highlands, IJsselstein and placed ourselves for the finals of the IJsselpop band competition! This means we’ll be coming back to Highlands in June, where 4 out of 8 finalists will be chosen to play at the IJsselpop festival this summer.
