Pim Besseler (bass)
Trivia
During his teens Pim got stung with the metal virus after hearing the And justice for all album. More and more he grew into music. He was always dreaming of playing guitar and making music, but never got around to it though. The reason: he was focusing on art and design.
A few years later, going to university, when a roommate asked him to come and play bassguitar in a band called Hard Suppository, he didn't think twice and grabbed this opportunity to play. This former Eindhoven based hardcore metal band had moved to Delft and needed a replacement for their bassplayer who stayed in Eindhoven.
Two years later when this band fell apart, Pim still felt the urge to play and decided to form his own band. He started a coverband with a few student friends. This project didn't live long. Due to musical differences the band split up. That is how he met Wouter, Martijn, Ralph, Kenji and Hendrikje with whom he started Hard©opy which later became known as AMETHEON.
Pim's musical career is intertwined with that of Ametheon. More and more time goes into the band and there is never any doubt in his mind: 7 years of Ametheon metal it is just plain fun.
Interests
Pim gets his inspiration from nature, fantasy, thriller, vampire novels and movies and in fact all kinds of art with a dark edge. All his creative work is a reflection of his mind. Who knows what is going on in there..
